Course Description: 3-Day 5-Mission Basic On-Aircraft / Simulator GA

This 3-day, 3-mission aircraft / 2-mission simulator course is APS's answer to the needs of serious private and professional pilots (minimum rating of PPL required) seeking a new feature in life-saving safety training. This course combines all of the pre-flight ground instruction from the 3-mission Upset Recovery Training program with a thorough Spin Training indoctrination. The first 3 flights are on-aircraft (Extra 300L and the last 2 in the Redbird (Cessna 172 or Baron 58) Flight Simulator. As in all APS courses, clients receive comprehensive ground, flight and post-flight instruction on situations from stalls to unusual attitudes to fully developed spins, including basic aerobatics to reinforce recovery skills. Aircraft upsets and unusual attitudes can happen just as easily in IMC as they can in VMC … recognize, avoid, recover if necessary ... be prepared.
