Introduction to Upset Recovery Training
Course Description: Introduction to Upset Recovery Training
This 1-day, 1-mission course is the perfect session for the pilot wanting to learn more about stall/stall spin prevention and seeking more insight into Upset Recovery and Emergency Maneuver Training benefits. You’ll receive comprehensive ground, flight, and post-flight instruction on basic stalls and aerobatics. The completion of this course can be credited towards any of the multi-day programs including, but not limited to: Upset Recovery and Emergency Maneuver Training.
NOTE: Participants of this Introductory Upset Recovery Training Mission must understand this is an “Introduction”. Completion of this profile will dramatically highlight the need for more training and the overall lack of all-attitude recovery ability in most pilots. A decade of experience teaching thousands of pilots of all skill levels has demonstrated that a full 2-days of highly specialized APS flight training, including 5.5 hours of academics and 3 full training flights, is the minimum training required to develop truly-effective real-world upset recovery techniques in 98% of pilots. This has been repeatedly shown to be independent of pilot certificate level, ratings (including CFIs) and total flight hours.

Client Testimonial for this Course
“Honestly, I was skeptical. With 4000 hours flight experience, I really thought I could get up to speed on so-called ‘upset recovery skills’ in 20 or 30 minutes … after all, what’s the big deal? This course woke me up and likely saved my life. I’ve booked the full course and can’t wait to start training. Thank you APS!”
