This course is ideal for:

  • Private Pilots
  • Pilots on a Budget, or
  • Pilots Interested in an Introduction to Loss of Control In-flight.

The information available in this online home study video course will provide you with the knowledge and, most importantly, the time-tested and successful techniques used to recognize, avoid and, if necessary, recover from a looming tragedy in the sky. In short, this home study course could save your life one day. Our team’s experience ranges from light GA aircraft, multi-engine turbo props, business jets all the way through to transport category airliners – this course applies equally to pilots of any fixed wing aircraft. Don’t take our word for it, have a look at what others have to say.

Recently, Congress passed the “Airline Safety and Pilot Training Improvement Act of 2009″. This Act will require commercial pilots be more thoroughly trained in “Stall and Airplane Upset Recognition and Recovery”, beyond what is currently being accomplished.

Fortunately, the critical aerodynamic concepts pilots need to understand and assess threatening flight conditions can be learned in just a few hours of dedicated ground instruction. In the past decade, APS has trained over 4,000 pilots isolating need-to-know upset recovery techniques. Over the years, we have developed the ability to effectively deliver and communicate these methods to pilots of all skill levels in a clear and concise manner. Now, through our Online Video Training, we have made it possible for pilots to have easy access to the critical knowledge required to develop life-saving awareness in-flight. This video course is a great place to start, especially if you can’t make it to Arizona just yet to complete your in-flight training with APS.

Recent Developments at APS

APS Emergency Maneuver Training is now offering private pilots and professional pilots two new affordable online upset recovery video training courses (Basic and Advanced Upset Recovery Video Training) which can be purchased without signing up for a monthly membership. The company has trained more pilots in fully comprehensive upset recovery training skill development than any other training organization. All instructors have extensive experience in general aviation, aerobatic maneuvering, military instruction, technologically advanced aircraft and commercial and/or transport flight operations.
