Orlando, FL – October 15, 2018 – Aviation Performance Solutions LLC (APS), the global leader in Upset Prevention & Recovery Training (UPRT), announced today at the Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (BACE) 2018 in Orlando, the expansion of its service to uniquely address four major classes of airplanes. APS UPRT bridges the training gap for light multi-engine turboprop, large multi-engine turboprop, multi-engine business jet, and large transport category airplanes.
APS headquarters in Arizona now operates its own advanced simulator that can be reconfigured within minutes to accommodate four distinct classes of airplanes all within a fully integrated 3-day upset training program combining the best attributes of on-aircraft training and flight simulation. The majority of the providers of Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT) are either live on-aircraft training providers in real all-attitude capable airplanes or limited to the use of an advanced simulator. Assuming these providers are strictly following the guidance International Civil Aviation Organization’s (ICAO) Manual on Aeroplane UPRT, then both offer a measure training value. ICAO and the industry’s UPRT experts agree that the integrated use of specialized academic, on-aircraft, and advanced flight simulation components provides the most robust UPRT experience possible. APS is the only UPRT provider to have turnkey access to integrated UPRT solutions at all of its North American and European locations.
“The ability for APS to quickly reconfigure its advanced simulator to four distinct classes of airplanes helps better serve our customers’ critical safety needs in upset prevention and recovery training,” said Paul BJ Ransbury, the president of APS. “Our purpose, ‘We Help Pilots Bring Everyone Home Safely,’ drives us to continually develop more comprehensive and innovative solutions for every pilot to be optimally armed to overcome aviation’s #1 threat to safety on every single trip–Loss of Control In-Flight.”
