Devan Robnett

Senior UPRT Advisor

Devan's connection to aviation runs deep. His great grandfather, father, and uncle have all called Idaho's skies home, building a legacy of flight that has shaped his worldview since childhood. Growing up surrounded by pilots who explored the rugged terrain of the Pacific Northwest, aviation was never an abstract ambition. The aviators in his life never progressed beyond their private certification, Devan knew there was more in store for him.

In 2025, Devan returned to aviation to finish what he started in 2020. Making the decision to fully commit to finishing that legacy, he turned a lifelong passion into a professional pursuit. He earned his flight instructor certification and quickly established himself in Boise as a knowledgeable, organized, and approachable instructor. With over six years holding an aviation certificate and a solid foundation in single-engine operations, he has accumulated a mix of flight experiences across different operations that gives him a well-rounded perspective to share with students. He quickly became a go to provider of the spin training within his flight training organization.

Devan knew that there were gaps in the training curriculum that students were receiving but didn't know particularly what that was. He was aware of the dangers of LOC-I and how common it was but didn't have the exposure to the robust UPRT that APS offers. Upon completing the Gold Standard Mastery Program, Devan knew that his mission was to share the importance of UPRT with pilots of every skill level.

What sets Devan apart is the professional discipline he brings to every situation. His Bachelor's degree in Business Management and nearly a decade of experience in marketing, strategic planning, and sales management means Devan has a robust blend of aviation and business experience.

Devan brings a rare combination of aviation expertise, instructional skill, and business acumen to APS. His ability to communicate complex concepts clearly, manage complex solutions, and operate with efficiency and professionalism makes him an ideal advisor to guide flight departments through the importance of mitigating LOC-I risk.
